I had to get out of the house. The rain was pouring, but no high winds. The kids enjoyed a good run through the woods.
I forced this picture (I don't do that very often). This HUGE section of earth is the roots from 3 birch trees tipped by the storm. Underneath, it was just rocks and dirt. You couldn't tell a tree had stood on top of it for a hundred years (give or take).
Kincaid led this group like the pied piper into the water. He was spear fishing and the others just watched and tossed rocks (only one hit him).
Yes, Kincaid is over his knees in the water. I told him it was all right, but he had to walk the entire way back to the truck. He did - there was no standing water in his boots. I did wring out his socks though.
Both boys enjoyed this "hydration station".
Our clothes were drenched. Seriously dripping and wet, but it was so worth it!

Another batch of excellent pictures that told the story well.
Your mom
Glad the rain didn't keep you inside. Looks like quite an adventure in spite of the rain. The pictures look like memory makers! tga
