It was a frosty 28 this morning. We headed out to Birchwood as the Dahlias needed to be dug up and put to bed for the winter. The boys brought their shovels and enjoyed seeing all of the worms - Urg (so happy I had on gloves). They also liked to walk on the grass as it felt strange with the heavy frost. Can you tell that it is about noon in this picture? The sun is so low! We are currently gaining 5 min and 39 sec of night time each day, or losing that much day light. Glass half empty and half full sort of a deal...

I love the "gaining night" idea. I've never thought of it that way. Last night Kincaid said, "H-m-m, it's getting dark. We used to go to bed in the daylight, but now we go to bed at night." So true.

Trips to the Farm always look and sound like fun, even when many include work. tga
