Just a walk in the park

This is "our tree" (per the boys) and they love to play on it when we walk around the dog park.  They climb along it, hang on it and hit it (to get the bugs out).  Kincaid sat up here for a bit and loved it when a dog ran underneath and tried to "get him".

Duke did play a bit, but really wanted graham crackers and felt a bit safer in the wump.  A few dogs did sniff him, but he held them high so they didn't get any.  The lake is pretty well frozen, but I told Kincaid he couldn't walk on it until there is lots of snow and it has been cold for a long time.

Kincaid climbed the mountain and Sahale joined him for a bit.  I tried to get the picture of him standing with his stick and Sahale looking over the trees.  Of course, I was too slow.
I took this as I think this is the last picture of snowless mountains for the season.  We are slated to get snow either tonight or tomorrow.  I am ready for some white stuff, but it has been nice to have clear streets for driving. I still hate driving on icy roads.

It does look stark and barren out there in the woods, but the boys will love the snow when they wake up this morning.

I can remember the first snow when we lived on Elmendorf. We put sox on our hands and slid down the cellar door! Your pictures always bring back of childhood memories! Thanks! tga
