A friend of mine started an every Friday meetup that we call Camp Ruckus. She does a little opening circle, good morning activity and then we head down the trail. There is some exploring, an activity and a snack. Here, Kincaid is showing the kids what a circle looks like.
Last time, Duke loved the good morning circle and Kincaid HATED it. Reversed this time. They each said good morning and chose how many hops everyone did. All the other kids selected one or even five. Kincaid... he chose 12. Good boy!
Here, they are playing camouflage hide and seek. Kincaid is hiding and the boy in blue is seeking. It was hilarious. It also was pouring rain. POURING down and about 40 degrees. The kids didn't really mind though. I love that.
The kids collected materials for a project and are heading up the hill. Both kids chose to wear the hiking boots on the condition they avoided puddles. See Kincaid next to that big one? He didn't avoid it too well.
This picture is for Kory. Mom and I did the last Orienteering Meet of the season on Sunday. The boys elected to stay home with Bopper. This is an impassible swamp Kory. Most of the trails were like this with actual rushing rivers where none are supposed to be. Mom and I hopped over, traversed around and slogged through. Good times!

I know that I had as much orienteering as the boys did at Camp Ruckus. We can't be slowed down by the weather.
Your mom
At least now you know what the impassable swamp looks like on the map. Though that one is fairly obvious. Cold and wet, bonus!
