Flat

Such a gorgeous day for a hike.  I got the kids all packed up and out the door.  It was so pretty driving up the road to Arctic Valley.  My car started pulling a little to the left, but it tends to that.  I noticed my steering wheel was turned quite a bit and stopped to look out the door.  By golly, the front tire was flat (but only on the bottom...).  A friend stopped and we got the spare out (after reading the manual).  A nice guy stopped and helped us get it jacked up (on an incline) and the spare on only to have a broken piece!  Egads - Bop came to the rescue and drove the car down and I drove the kids in his truck.  He got the part and Bessie (the car) is ready to go.  No hike, but couldn't have happened at a prettier spot on a better day.

Also, I had a tent, blanket and lots of food.  The kids did some shoveling and then had a picnic in the tent.  Good times!
