The colors were amazing at Denali. I won the spot in the road lottery to drive our own rig on the road usually closed to all but the Denali buses. A nice rainbow was in front of us as we drove into the park! It didn't get picked up in the picture very well.
Just so beautiful. It was a LONG drive up there, long drive in the park (with no playground much to the dismay of my boys - park=playground to them) and then long drive home.
So much to see everywhere we looked. Mom and I love these kinds of rivers.
The boys soon tired of the beauty and got to watch shows so we could look out the windows in peace.
We saw bears, moose, caribou, a squirrel, sheep (high on the mountain), ptarmagin ( I think) and a magpie.
A nice valley - pretty again.
The colors just seemed unreal to me!
Our hotel had amusing signs on their road. This and a nice one of a large mosquito lifting up a man were our favorites.
The view from the hotel - not bad!
COLD in the morning. Bop had to scrape the windows.
Driving home in the morning - not back either and sunny skies so we could see Denali all the way back!

Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures - they are the next best thing to being there. xoox tga
You totally won the jackpot-- fall is so gorgeous there. What an amazing time and pictures. Also good that you brought a back up plan for the boys. I suppose there is only so much beauty little guys can take in at once :)
