Grand Junction, Co. La Quinta. We played around in the gale force winds of Eldorado Canyon for a bit yesterday. The boys climbed and I hiked around with the beasts and took a few pictures. It was so windy, but really quite pretty. We headed out of Denver about 2 and got to Grand Junction about 6. It is such a pain driving through the mountains, but fun going down the other side!
I seem to have picked up a cold along the way and my sinuses are unhappy and my throat is joining in on the party too. It is not fun, not fun at all. We are going to hit WalMart on our way out of town this morning for some sore throat drops.
We are going to try and get to Moab tonight, but the weather channel isn't making it sound too good. Along the I-70 corridor (goes East West across Colorado), there is a possibility for 3 feet of snow. We shall play it by ear and see what happens. It is disappointing that you can't take dogs on any of the trails at Arches. They have to stay in the campgrounds or on the roads. How silly is that? Oh well... I will keep you updated!!

Grand Junction is where we tried to stop for the night on our honeymoon trip to Yellowstone.
Dogs aren't allowed on the trails in Arches NP because they would mark the arches and over time the acid would weaken the mineral structure and the arches would fall. Then it would be Fallen Arches NP. Interesting but not as big a tourist draw.

What a Saturday treat - glad I checked your blog. Hope you get to feeling better. I have found Zcam (sp) spray to help the throat. You take care of yourself. The weather out your way does not sound good. Drive carefully and stay safe - xxo tga
+1 on the ZiCAM. Awesome stuff. I swear by the zinc lozenges and the ZiCAM nose swabs.
