Mary Poppins left her charges "when the wind changed" and so do I. Kansas shall usher me out with the winds of change. It currently "feels like it is 6 degrees" and winds of 35+ are possible. We have the white glove housing inspection at 10 and then (I say this with crossed fingers and toes) we will be set free. We hope to make it to Denver tonight and then a possible climbing day with an old friend tomorrow. It is all unplanned and I am trying my best to just go with the flow. We are planning on stopping by Moab and Arches in Utah for a bit though - I haven't ever been there and I am excited about that. Most of our tentative plans depend on the weather as mother nature doesn't always making driving the easiest in the winter. Oh well, we have time to 'take our time' and have enough gear in the cars for most things that could happen. So, keep your chins up and I shall return when the wind changes!

I love arches . . . go to the Fiery Furnace hike. It is fabulous. Moab is great too. Enjoy!

Allie and I visited Arches and Canyonlands NPs during our trek to Yellowstone for our honeymoon. Truly beautiful places to visit. Just be sure to call ahead and make hotel reservations, unlike us. We ended up sleeping in the back of the SUV in a municipal golf course parking lot because there was no hotel with vacancy for 75 miles in any direction from where we originally wanted to stop.
