Some of you might remember my pink hoodie. I wore it all the time and it had holes in the sleeves and looked like I wore it all the time. I finally retired that hoodie, but haven't found a suitable replacement. It is hard to find something to replace something wonderful and you just won't feel the same about anything else.

I went to a yarn store here yesterday. It was fine with lots of samples and lots of yarn crammed into a cozy shop. It reminded me of my new hoodie - fine, but not like the old one. The yarn was organized all wrong and the patterns weren't of my taste. Nothing will be like Twist. I even ordered yarn from Twist and got it within 3 days. Do I really even need to find a new yarn store in my town? Can I live as a fulfilled knitter without a local yarn store? I wonder...

This is the yarn I bought from Shelly. It is Berroco Linen Jeans and it is for the Frock Camisole from Spring Interweave. Just a simple tank top that is flared at the bottom a bit. I cast on and knit just a few rounds last night while watching televison. It will be a good airplane knit!

Can't wait to see the finished product. It is a sad day when your favs can no longer wearable - I usually wear another year or so - but that is okay out at the farm. xxo tga
