Happy May Day Everyone!
When we were young, we would fill baskets with breads, candies, bubbles, flowers and treats. We would leave the baskets on our friend's doorsteps, ring the bell and run away before they saw us (hopefully). I such grand memories of those times! I didn't make any May Day baskets, but I might make some bread tonight if I get ambitious.
It is a crisp, clear and beautiful spring morning. I noticed how much the buds on the trees are pushing out and grabbed my camera. There is a bit of frost on the grass, but it felt refreshing under my bare feet (as if I would put on shoes). The ivy on the porch (that I am supposed to get rid of due to possible foundation issues in the future) is also pushing out little green starts. It just brightens my day to see all of this happening. I hope you are starting to get spring where you are (my parents in Alaska got 18 inches a few days ago...). If not, the guest room is open!

It is always the same temp here...year round. I miss seasons!! I had a fabulous dinner with Judy and Angie last night. They were on vacay and stopped through SF. Super fun.
Lia,
I took two May baskets of flowers to school and I have the makings for four neighbor/friends' baskets to deliver tonight. I ran into Shari Cartee last weekend who said Corey Cartee still calls on May Day to see if our basket has arrived. (I think that was a hint and yes, I made one for them.)
Mom
I told Don Happy May Day and asked if he got a basket - he said no. Don't think he remembered it was May Day. tga
