When I left last weekend, there was nary a bloom in the yard. The ivy is turning green, the trees are getting leaves, one tree is getting tons of white blooms and flowers are popping up like moles in the whack-a-mole game. It is interesting to see what pops up and where as we never saw the house without tons of snow. I would love to eek out some room for a little veggie garden, but don't really see where to do that. Parker has claimed two spots for her dirt cooling holes and others just don't get much sun. Oh well, I will just support the local farmer's market and get my freshies there.

Lia,
Wow! There's nothing like an unsuspected perennial blooming to make the day bright.
(Dogs over veggies sounds radical for a vegetarian!)
Mom
Lia ,
. . . and that's not all. Last night my bike training was stopped momentarily by a black bear on the bike trail!

Eeeeekkkkkk, be careful mom. Lia, I can't wait to see your house!

We've had the same surprises here in our new house. One morning I went out and , surprise! There were tulips! Pretty yellow ones with a streak of red down the middle of each petal. Then, a few days later, surprise! Red tulips to go with them. I'm waiting for the flowers around the trees out front to bloom. I can see there's something getting ready, but I don't know what it is.
Isn't it fun? I keep reading about plants in an effort not to kill all of them. I may even plant a vegetable garden one of these years.
Hurray for gardening that you don't have to do!
Jonathan and I plant tomatoes & peppers in a couple of large buckets and put them where the sunshine is! That way, you can grow something of your own. Less work to do and they taste so good. We even starting planting a bucket for Bilbo as he likes to pick his own!
Susan :)
