I hope everyone had a fantastic father's day! Happy dad's day to my padre as well (don't worry, I called and sent a gift).

I spent the afternoon in Idaho at my aunt's house. I spent the afternoon eating tons of food that culminated with some fantastic rhubarb pie. I made an orzo salad with grape tomatos, slivered almonds, cucumbers, fresh basil, sugar snap peas from the market and green onion with a dressing from the food network linked here. If you don't have hoisin sauce just use equal parts ketchup and honey. Also, I double the dressing for the amount of orzo that I used as I like a well dressed salad (who doesn't afterall?).

They set up a whiffle ball golf course (9 holes) in their yard and it was amusing to watch! I got home and spent some quality time with my pups (who were held hostage in the house all day - sorry beasts) and took some pics of them in the yard and setting sun. I also spied this amusing shadow of me and had to snap a picture. I hope you have a great week ahead of you!

Lia,

The shadow photo is wonderful . . . and I could practically taste the salad. Yum!

PS The dogs are looking good, too.

I was so hopeful, on first glance, that the pic was the weasel you've always wanted to pet . . . alas! Just wait a few more days till I bring the beaver for Huck. Putting the final border on the knit blanket for him too. Hope he likes 'em.

I love the shadow pic! We got back safe and sound from AK last night. I'm pretty sure that my poor little nephew will *always* be called Huck!! Everyone in AK is already calling him that :)
