I just saw a new sock knitting pattern for sale that I really like. It has little puppy paw prints running up the leg. Apparently, it was inspired by guide dogs. I might have whip up a pair. Here is the link to the pattern for purchase. 100% of the profits go to helping visually impaired individuals gain independence. I usually don't buy patterns, but this one goes to a great cause.

I had a good dog walk yesterday. We saw a turtle crossing the path, which the dogs really wanted to investigate. I thought it might stress the little guy out so we hung back and watched him waddle across the road. Then, a hawk swooped us. Then, we saw the deer prancing along the hilltop. The dogs got quite excited by this. Then, we saw a momma and 5 baby skunks make their way through some tall grass. You could see the mom's head and then the skinny tails of the babies. It was so cute. It feels so great to be in nature these days for some reason. It is quite calming to be among the tall, tall trees and the wild flowers. I hope you find some calm today!

Your walk sounds like a scene from a Disney Movie. I am so glad that you live in such a place!! tga

Lia,

Calm is good . . . and I found it yesterday hiking Bird Ridge--our most difficult hike of the year. My legs are protesting this morning, but the view was worth it. We saw sheep and eagles and a rainbow in the clouds, but no skunks!

Sounds like a fab walk . . . I've never seen baby skunks. Did Sahale want to investigate closer, as I recall she is rather fond of skunks. Love the sock pattern!
