The husband had a hankering for ice cream, but I wanted something a bit fruitier. I asked for some Sherbert. He called to say that they only had Sherbet. This threw me into a fit of laughter until he brought home the container that indeed said Sherbet. I had to google this and found out that the correct pronounciation is Sherbet, but a "common corruption" (direct quote) changed it to Sherbert. Amazing isn't it? Just say, "Sherbet" - it is funny and doesn't sound like a real word. And know you know...
Also, the preview for the Fall Interweave Knits is up and I actually liked a few things. Of course, I doubt that I will actually ever knit them though. I most likely will knit the little dumpling bags - I can't pass up a good knitting and felted bag. I love that they are little circles. I love the Pea Coat, but would rather just buy one than spend all the time knitting it. Anything you are planning to knit??? Just curious. Maybe you could knit and eat some Sherbet... tee hee.

I love lime sherbet or sherbert. Is Huck behaving himself?

Lia,
Yep, pronunciation is the pits! (Just ask my English 9 students.)
It's raining like crazy here--still--and we already have termination dust on the mountains. Summer never really made it this far north. It's great, though, for house remodels and inside work. I'm not complaining.
Mom
I have had full-on verbal fights about whether it is sherbet or sherbert. I am staying "corrupt" and sticking with sherbert.
I just can't get behind sherbet!

As long as it tastes good I don't care what or how they say it. Back in sunny Idaho. tga
