I was looking forward to it all week and on Saturday it finally came! It was my skype shower with gifts from my Kansas knitting group. It was so wonderful and made me feel really loved though a bit sad. I think that one reason I haven't found a group of friends here is that those gals in Kansas are so great. I meet people and think, "they just aren't like my knitting friends."
They hooked up skype and I could see everyone at the shop. I knit for a bit and it was just like old times! Then, I opened the gifts and held them up for everyone to see. It was so much fun.
Miss Shelly gave me some Claudia Handpainted Yarn in my favorite color that I always drooled over, Carol gave babe his first moose and adorable baby blue outfit, Lanora knit a gorgeous pinwheel blanket with matching hat and booties, Lara knit a surprise jacket - booties and Olive hat (from itsy bitsy hats), Jackie gave babe some manly clothes (football and aligators) and a pacifier clip (for clumsy babes), Angelique gifted 3 of the softest minky burp cloths (or tiny blankets) and onsies in 3 different sizes (so smart) and Maxine knew my puppy obsession and got babe the softest puppy and fleece blanket with puppy on it.
Thanks Kansas friends - you are truly the best.
I miss you guys!

You have truly fabulous friends in that very flat state. I love the pinwheel blanket, I started knitting one and got so durn sick of it that it ended up a 1/2 pinwheel. The surprise jacket is super cute too. What talented folks!
