The last few nights have been rather sleepless for me. I have been having a bit of an inability to turn off my brain. Kincaid has been having a bit of an inability to stay asleep and not wiggle or not eat for more than an hour.

I am reading the No Cry Sleep Solution and am ready for step two. I don't know what that is as I have just finished step one - track babe's sleep patterns - and didn't read ahead. I wonder if they make infant ambien. It just is hard to be mad and crabby at someone who smiles at you like this!

His pictures make me laugh - what a charmer - but also know what you are going through. As Swede would say "hang in there like a rusty fish hook" this too shall pass. xxo tga

Racing thoughts while DS is asleep could be a sign of post partum anxiety, so watch out for any other symptoms. It took me a long time to get comfortable with cosleeping, and in the meantime I used a baby monitor with a visual display to keep myself from going insane thinking I heard S crying when he was actually asleep.

He is too cute. His sleep patterns may just take after his mothers!

I remember those days (a million years ago). Our kids would wake up and fuss...then play with their hands & feet a little until boredom set in...then they would "call" me to their bedside with an indignant cry. When I woke enough to stumble into their room, The first thing I remember seeing (by the dull glow of the night light) were their bright little eyes and big toothless grins peering out between the crib bars as if to say,"HEY!! There you are, what took you so long!!" Believe it or not, Huck "summoning you" in the middle of the night will be a SWEET memory some day...trust me.
