While we have given Huck a taste of things from time to time (mashed potatoes, whipped cream), he got his first real food last night. I mixed a bit of baby rice cereal with a twitch of breast milk. All of the books say to not expect him to actually ingest any and for him to spit most of it out. Well, we have a good eater on our hands. Huck took all that I gave him with a few strange faces, some helping hands and only a bit to wipe onto the rag. Such a good boy.

I have no doubt he'll be a good eater. I'm sure it's in his genes!

Rice cereal tastes a lot like cardboard - try a little applesauce or banana mixed in it . . . . (a wee bit of refigorator milk won't hurt anything) dad

Babies don't eat much more than one or two times a day max - once a day adequate and not much - since seeps little pay attention to see if sleeps better and if so feed at night . . . dad
