I tagged along with my mother's "old lady hiking group" (she is the youngest) yesterday for a hike along Penguin Creek. Those "old ladies" could give any "young man" a hike for his money - they go, go go ! It was a beautiful day with sunshine and a little breeze to keep the mosquitoes at bay. We hiked over a river and through the woods and had to forge a few lakes that covered the trail from snow melt. It was great fun to be out and about. Huck hopped into the backpack and was quite content sleeping and watching the scenery. He definitely was a hit with the ladies! My shoulders are a bit sore, but it was worth it to have him out in the woods with me!

I'll bet Mr. Huck really perked up the group!! I hope you didn't see any bears up there.
He's a good hiker!
