When I went to college, I wanted a single room as I had some sleep issues. I don't need much sleep and have never slept through the night without waking up. Alas, my dear boy may have inherited this problem. He falls asleep like a champ, but doesn't have much staying power. He wakes up many times during the night - he looks so peaceful there doesn't he? I have tried a zillion things and have read a million books, but have just resigned myself to the idea that my babe might just not be a good sleeper. I still love him and will keep him.

I had a midwife appointment on Monday and I am "perfect" I was at exactly 26 weeks and looked good. I also toured the birth center and am excited about it. I am encouraged to eat, drink and do whatever can help me during labor. There is a tub, shower room, birthing ball and 2 rooms. There also is a large family area and mini-kitchen spot too. They keep me for 3 or so hours post-birth and then I can go home! They also do a home check a few days after as well. How great does that sound?

The birthing center is wonderful, that's who delivered Kate and Steven, and I was so happy. I love the picture of Huck sleeping with his bear, so sweet.

I'm wondering if the sleep issues run in the family. Your Uncle John is the exact same way. He loves to sleep but can only sleep (at the most) 4 hours at a time. Huck looks SO peaceful with his Teddy.

You are such a great mom and I am so proud of you. Maybe one day he'll sleep thru the night... (like on his 21st b-day, as an after effect)lol.
The birthing center sounds nice. Then Huck can be close to you w/o being right there. Miss you tons.
