It is turning to winter quite quickly here with the daily temperatures falling and daylight quickly diminishing. I love the first snow and can't wait to take Huck out in his new sled, but am trying to stay in the moment as I also love Fall. It is hard to do with stores putting out their Christmas decorations, but I am doing what I can. Huck helped my mother and I plant some Tulipa (yes, Tulipa) bulbs and then help with digging the potatoes. If you remember me telling you about the link for getting 100 lbs of potatoes out of 10 square feet quite a while ago, that is what we tried to do. We ended up digging 9.5 pounds - something must have gone a bit wrong. I made some potato soup and it was wonderful - couldn't have had fresher 'taters! I hope you have a good week!

Huck was more help than he looks like he was. Now, we move on to jack-o-lantern carving. Life is good.
