Alaskan Christmas trees often don't go up until rather close to the actual day. I think that we are going to chop ours down on the 22nd to keep the needle shedding to a minimum. We are all wondering how to keep Huck out of the tree and keep Huck from pulling the tree down onto of himself.
My playgroup suggested affixing it to the wall with fishing line or rope. I was thinking of playgates or something like that to form a sort of barricade. Any ideas????

Maintaining an upright Christmas tree might be the most exciting part of the holiday.

If Huck doesn't get the tree the dogs will. It is all part of Christmas!! tga
I am planning to use a baby gate - the octagon shaped one and form a barricade! :)

I've taught Huck so many great skills:
-Christmas ball grabbing
-dish washing
-k
He's always loved botany!
With Steven in the house we always use fabric and plastic ornaments, just in case! But a lot of my friends use the octagon shaped baby gate too.
