I survived my first outing with the two kids. We had to go to Huck's eye appointment. I strapped Duke into his car seat and then picked up Huck and his car seat. I let him run around the back seat while I strapped his seat in and then picked him up to go and get the new stroller (I will post about this amazing item later). After de-icing the back door so it would open for the stroller, I strapped Huck into his seat. I ran inside to grab Duke and my bags and then we were off. I got to the appointment in time and realized I forgot Huck's glasses - bad mom. The appointment was fine and we all survived, though there was a bit of crying on the way home. Alas...
Here are some pictures of Huck's new and favorite activity. He loves to get inside of "things" - drawers, boxes, and whatever else looks promising. I took this over my shoulder so he wouldn't watch me spying on him. He did finally get himself inside and just his head was showing - so funny.

I couldn't have done it. I'd still be at home trying to figure out the logistics of getting two babies to an appointment.
Getting a one-year old body inside a basket is pretty amazing, too.
