We went for a bit of an ill-fated outing yesterday. I bundled Huck and Duke up in their warmies for a walk with my mom and her friends. It sounded lovely - a cool, snowy afternoon with a bit of a pinkish hue from the setting sun. It started out nicely, but before we knew it my mom was having to carry Huck and the ladies were picking up mittens and boots as he was screaming most of the way. I was nursing Duke while walking to keep him quiet and it was a bit chilly with my shirt pulled up under my coat. It was amusing. The short drive home was filled with yelling from the backseat. We built a fire when we got home to warm up!

I snapped this picture and I think my camera doesn't like the cold so much. I also took a few shots of a baby moose that didn't turn out at all. So, you can use your imagination to picture a little baby moose by an apartment building. We kept our eyes peeled for the mother, but never saw her thank goodness. Momma moose tend to be a bit protective over their little ones - I can relate...

The best part of the walk was sitting by the fire having hot Chai tea afterward!

I enlarged the picture of your Mom and Huck - priceless. The fire and Chai tea sounds like a perfect combo - tga

At least you got them all out. That is an accomplishment.

I agree with K, no easy feat! The pink sunset was so beautiful too, glad you got a moment to enjoy it!
