Irondog - Pictures and Links to the race at the post's end
We went to see the safety check-in for the iron dog snowmachine race this weekend. My uncles, cousins and family friends are racing in the rec or trail class again this year. They had to go to through rigorous safety checks to their machines, safety gear (the food's calories were counted), and the like. My uncle has a large rectangle pad that plugs in and heats up for inside his coat, my cousin has a lunchbox looking item that plugs in and is an oven. They have to have body armor as their sleds go so fast too. They were like kids in a candy shop and it was fun to observe. They start the race on Friday from Big Lake and we are going to go and see them off on their amazing race!!
They had a blow up play structure for the kiddos - Huck had a great time, until my cousin convinced him to go do
wn the slide solo. He didn't scream, but didn't say "again, again" when he got down.

What fun the day must have been. I wish I could have been there, too. It was nice they had something for the little kids and not just the big kids. The pictures are great. tga
