Playdate

We invited a friend over to play and boy did the three boys run wild and have fun.  There are three boys in the tent in this picture - hidden in the tent causing all the commotion.  

There was climbing, jumping, throwing and chasing.  Kincaid actually did quite a bit of hitting a ball with the pool noodle.  I taught him how to hold the "bat" and keep it behind him a bit and he could hit the thing if I tossed it.  I was quite impressed.

Duke got awfully tired as he had a terrible night sleeping.  He took a break to read a shark book during one of the climbing up on the bunk bed times.  It is hard to control the chaos, but it is really good for them to have someone else here.  They have to interact differently and I can see them learning new social skills all of the time.  It just is a lot to take sometimes with having to referee and say, "use your words" or "don't kick someones head" or "we don't push people off the bunk bed".  Good times though!
