Pizza and Orienteering

We had a wonderful lunch at Moose's Tooth.  Can you tell why the boys enjoy this booth the most???

It was orienteering night and I was so proud of Kincaid. He ran the entire way.  We were on the course for about 40 minutes and he only asked to be carried once.  A shot of m n m's gave him the extra energy to complete the race!   Duke ran a bit, but he kept stopping to pick up huge stones so I encouraged him to get back into the pack.

Kincaid spotted every control this time.  I think this is a good way to learn numbers.  Nam would read the numbers and he would look at them to make sure they match.

I never knew this tunnel was here!  It is near the first major parking lot in FNBP on the right (mile 1.1).

Kincaid loved to make an echo.  Duke was asleep but woke up to do a weak yodel.

He was quite comfortable in the pack, but screamed when he woke up. I think his legs fell asleep.  Doh!

This is the one time Kincaid stopped to rest.  Nam went into the woods to punch a control and he waited to rest up for the race to the finish.  He ran so fast and was so happy!

Here is team whale or team pteranadon (depending on which child you ask).  Such a good time!
