It was slated to be hot. Really hot. Like over 70 degrees hot. We started our hike early to avoid heat exhaustion. Sahale had to find some snow to roll in to cool off.
We hiked up Arctic Valley to the Saddle. I loved looking over the edge to the other side. I have climbed over there and never knew what was up to my right. It was so gorgeous - mountains all around in a sort of hazy, glow.
My mom spied something over above a snow field. I hiked on over and found some pieces of metal. It looks like a wing or something. It is a military green color. A mystery.
I need longer arms for these kind of shots.
This is looking down towards Anchorage. You could see forever. I could even see the new wind turbines on Fire Island.
It was a great hike with great company. Sahale didn't want to be photographed anymore apparently...
