I am exhausted. My children should be tiny little marathon trainers. They were up at 7 and are wild in the bathtub right now at 6 - no naps, no resting, no stopping. We had skedaddle's second birthday this morning at the beach. It was perfect for the kite (well, almost as it was right in the flight line). Then I read a book in hopes of a nap, but no. We went to the playground and then they were wild on the bunk bed. Whew - exhausting!
Kincaid was tired and asked to go home a few times, but would quickly rebound and find something fun to do. Here, he was a bit tired.
We had over 40 humans (adults and kids combined) at the beach party. It was really fun.
Kincaid, Duke and a few of their friends would stand by the waves and then run away screaming when they crashed. It was windy and the tide was coming in making it quite wavey!
The boys were the first ones there and the last ones to leave. Running into the waves repeatedly!
A friend thought I was hilarious carrying all the gear. Up the hill and took a picture. (more pictures from skedaddle here)
She then took one after she saw we took the super steep path up from the beach. The boys were screaming and refused to take the nicely flattened out and gently sloping path. We went up the 75 degree slope and I had to stay behind them so they could step on my feet and not slide back down. She also thought this was rather amusing. Good times at the beach.

The unceasing energy level is amazing! Maybe they will sleep this winter.
