Good Morning! Here is the log cabin blanket. I have actually been doing a fair amount of knitting lately. I am at a stopping point or I have to buy more yarn. It is a great size for a stroller or for babe to carry around with him as needed. I might put a little border around the edges or even back it with some flannel for contrasting textures. I also am to the foot section on the last embossed leaves sock - I am really enjoying the pattern. I think I like to have the simplicity of the log cabin and the necessary concentration of the lace to choose from when knitting calls my name.
In other news... the snow melted during the day, but now they are calling for 1 inch of "wet snow" today and then could be 4 inches tonight. It will get back up to the 40s so I am not going to shovel, but instead let mother nature recycle her snow naturally...
In other news... I had another midwife appointment without any earth shattering news. Babe is doing well - has a strong heart beat and I am gaining weight perfectly (right on the line!). I go back in a month! There are 3 midwives that work together at this office and they try to get you to see all of them at some point as you don't know who will be on call when you go into labor. I liked the one I saw today - much more naturey, she wore a nice pashmina and talked slowly. I really liked her.
In other news... that is about it. I shall talk to you all on Monday!!! (Yes, you all may come visit in the summer to swim in the healing waters of my lake!)

Very nice blanket, I like the colors. What yarn did you use? Ended up buying non-plastic mountaineering boots last night for this weekend crampon hike.

Nice blankie - try satin edge with a litle pocket at one end so he can stick a pinkie in as he sucks his two middle fingers! dad
I had to look up the word pashmina - but now I know. You will have the perfect little guy - who will love the blanket. Let me know when the snow is gone - tga
The blanket is beautiful, nice work!
Your blog always makes my work day a bit brighter. :)
