I received a wonderful little surprise from the fembot (a.k.a. little sister) over there. It is a onesie that says, "Chicks dig me" and a package of "pee pee tepees". Tee hee - that is the first thing that popped into my mind when I found out I was having a boy. How darn amusing!
Thanks for the comments on looking good with the baby bump! It is so strange to see your body changing, but I like it. I can feel "him" kick quite often and that makes me happy.
I am planning out the nursery decor - I am not much of a decorator and have little design sense (I just copy tv shows). I am thinking of an Alaskan theme with trees and animals (wolves, bears, moose, etc). Just a cream-ish wall color and then some wall decoration. I don't think that I am going to get the "crib set" as I am not going to use a bumper (due to the SIDS foundation not recommending them anymore), but just buy a crib sheet and make a quilt perhaps. Other ideas???
Have a great weekend!

Cute onesies. I had a friend give me some of the pee-pee tee-pees when I had my son too, they're funny.
The nursery sounds very cute! Making a quilt is a wonderful idea. I made the crib set for each of my kids and loved seeing them nestled under the little quilts I had made (when they were older obviously :-) ) My middle child still sleeps with her quilt (her Night Night) and it is tattered from all the love it receives.
I didn't use a pattern for any of them, just basic math. I decided the dimensions I wanted and just did a simple block pattern with borders. I stepped it up a bit with prairie points for my sons quilt for something different.
The quilt stores have darling material. Can't wait to see pictures of whatever you decide to do. Good luck!
yeah, skip the crib set and just get fitted sheets and swaddlers. for that matter, you could skip the crib and just cosleep. gotta get back to work on your unsolicited baby gear recommendations...
Do di do . . . Lu was SO excited about her find! I like the idea of an AK theme room.

Hee. My girls did the pee-pee fountain as much or more than my boy. I still think those teepee things are hilarious, though.
Lots of interesting info today - sounds like the little guys kicking has really kick started you into the baby is coming mode. Love the picture of Lani - her hair looks great that color! tga Can't wait to see the nursery - bet your Dad would love to help out with the animals - he has had lots of practice.
Baby belongs close to mama, by day and by night. Don't put your baby in a cage!
Remember Allison saying people were so much nicer to her when she was pregers? Have you found that to be true??
