Our climbing friend from Kansas came and went off climbing with the husband over the weekend. Yesterday, we headed out to the climbing / lake area and spent the afternoon. It was rather empty and I allowed the beasts to run free and leashless. They had a great time romping through the bushes, digging holes and getting back to their wild roots. I mainly walked around, sat around and provided nourishment to the mosquitoes (I am an animal lover).

The pictures are of Sahale digging a cool, dirt hole in a cave and then Parker usurping her hole later. The boys then jumped off the cliffs to cool down from the climbing. I came home and spent the rest of the evening knitting in my "cool" spot under the tree by the shop. I hope you had a cool Monday as well!

Lia,

Yep, it was cool here. Yesterday someone said, "Have a great fall this summer." That's the way it is in Alaska, but we're not complaining--there are no floods or tornadoes and it's not 100 degrees. Life is good.

Looks like the dogs had a fabulous time getting back to their "wild roots"

Hmmmmmmmm, never pictured the beasts as cave-dwellers.
