This time of year is, hands down, my favorite. I love when the air turns cool and you can pull out the down comforter and flannel sheets. I love the leaves changing colors (which I had to hold as Sahale wouldn't hold still with it on her head) and cold mornings.

I am looking forward to pulling out the summer tanks and shorts to replace them with sweatshirts and sweaters (yes, I enjoy organizing the closets). I turn the pot on for tea and knit by candle light in the evening under a warm blanket (IF, babe snoozes that is - mostly a dream, but isn't it nice?) while watching Law and Order or CSI reruns. I start to actually wear shoes (well, flip flops most of the time) and wear my knit hats and scarves. Ahh- I love Fall. (just look out this season for blog posts about cold weather, pumpkin patches and apples).

Fall is a wonderful time of year - what does Huck think? Guess as long as he gets fed he could care less. tga

Lia,

Your autumn looks great. We're in the midst of winter here. There's snow on the ground and more coming. Also, we're having to take detours to avoid moose every night on our walks around University Lake.

I just can't believe Sahale wouldn't hold still . . . did you try Huck? Can't want to be there for Hucks first pumpkin carving.

I just took my very first trip out of Alaska, to WA and I was blown away by how pretty the fall is. The leaves were pretty, the sun was bright but the air cool. It was truely beautiful. Fall is long gone here, lots of SNOW all around!
