Heat Wave!

It was so warm on our hike today.  I think it was 35 when we set out.  I was worried about the wind, but we were out of it on the trail.  They boys didn't leave the sled and Kincaid really wanted to go home most of the time, "to play with my toys."  I just told him we were staying out for a bit and then would head home.

They were in good moods though.  We kept stopping and just listening to the silence.  It was wonderful.  You could hear cars off in the distance and Kincaid asked if it was the ocean.

I did find a stick for him to use as a hiking stick.  He thought to use it as a paddle so he could stay in the sled.  Bummer he is too smart.

I then skied with my mom and I think we saw the mom and baby moose that were around our house lately.  On the way out we saw baby.

When we headed back to the car we saw Mom.  Just look how she is up to her belly in the snow.  I sure can understand why they stay in town and use the streets.  Smart critters.

We know it was warm, but it still looks cold. It's too bad you didn't show my soaking wet blouse after skiing. It was sweaty.

Your mom
