It was a veritable heat wave here - we skedaddled at 15 above! The boys were loving it and Duke thought he should be able to take off his mittens. This is Kincaid using his walking stick to get to the top of the sledding hill.
I had a great time sledding as the boys mostly enjoyed rolling down. One time, they said "Mom, you are leaving us!" Cracked up my friends at the top.
Duke was tired due to lots of bad dreams, poor guy. He yelled two times in the night, "Give me my hat!" I don't know where that came from. Here, he is slurping down some hot cocoa to get a bit warm.
We had to unearth the playground equipment and it was like walking in a minefield. You would take two steps on packed snow and then fall in up to your hip the next. The kids all loved it though. Duke was frustrated the wheel was frozen and wouldn't turn.
Kincaid had a lot of fun as there was an older kid there. They had a restaurant and made everyone "snow food". It was hilarious to get "snow bananas" or "snow cookies". He did not want to leave, but for once, Duke was crying to go home. His hands were really cold when we got into the car and he was happy to hold a hand warmer.

It's so great that you got out to actually play in the snow. Maybe we'll survive this winter after all.
Your mom
