Boys

Two moose walked down the creek.  (not the start of a joke..)  The one in the back had small antlers growing, but the one in front was much smaller.  Maybe a yearling and a 2 year old hanging out together?
Here is Sal (about 16 years old and ready for her walk!)
We went on a hike with friends on Saturday.  It was beautiful outside!
We hiked towards Girdwood from Rainbow.
It was windy, so lots of waves in the inlet.  It was so green at the base of the mountains, but it didn't pick up in the picture.  Good times nonetheless!

Bikes!

We brought the bikes out for the first ride of Spring!  It the boys a while to remember how to ride a bike (i.e., brake and steer), but they got it going and we took a little ride.  I now have to ride a bike as I couldn't keep up with them running anymore!

Weekend

We tried to see if the wood frogs had come out of hibernation, but they had not.  We did almost walk into a moose though!  They are HUGE, but blend in so perfectly to the brush right now.
We went to the Sportsman Show and we all shot bow and arrows.  Duke and Kin aimed at Deer and I choose a cobra (better for the animal lover in me).  It was fun - we all hit the target, but none of us popped the balloons.
Kincaid then helped change over my winter tires to summer ones.  He was quite good.  If your tires are on rims, he will change them for $5.00 a tire. Let me know for scheduling : ).

Easter

 We dyed Easter Eggs!
Kory, Nam and I did a bit of geocaching.  This was heading up off the inlet towards the railroad tracks at Birchwood.  We took a rather terrible route as you can tell from the steep angle.
 It was beautiful though!
And pepper and teddy had a wonderful time!

I'm Back!

These pictures are in no order (it took so long to upload!)  Here is Duke chilling on the beach.
We hiked to the Olivine Pools, but couldn't soak in them due to high surf.  The last week of our trip was windy and a high surf advisory.  It made wonderful wind surfing conditions in front of our house and they were really fun to watch.
Kincaid taught himself to swim without a boat coat and snorkel.  I had nothing to do with it.

This was before we left at the Iditarod ceremonial start.  Friends and I 'tailgated' and the kids loving getting high fives and booties.
Duke loved the hermit crabs.  He would collect them and put them in a pool to see if they would change shells or fight. (neither happened).
It was a little chilly so I wrapped up in my scarf for my breakfast on the lanai.
 Kincaid and the sunset.
It was super fun having Bex around!
We had many fun adventures with them!
We watched a few movies in the evening (this was Return of the Jedi).
The boys all loved to 'float out to sea' on boogie boards!  Kory often helped them!  I took many more pictures, but this just gives a taste.  It was a wonderful time to be with family and get some much needed vitamin D!

Mush!

A bunch of friends joined us for an Iditarod tailgate party!  (That is Dallas Seavey above, last year's winner)
The kids were trying to race the dogs and did pretty well as the musher's try to keep them slow.
A bit of snow building when the kids' interest lagged a bit.
They had a great time getting high fives.
 A bit of donut break.
 Racing the dogs.
A whole line up of the kids for high fives and booties.  (I love this all white team!)
The pile of booties!  Pepper REALLY enjoys smelling and carrying them around -especially the hot pink one from DeeDee Jonroe. (she has good taste)

weekend

We had parent teacher conferences (which were just 20 minutes of the teachers telling me how wonderful my kids are in school) and Kincaid's teacher showed us a picture that he took with an app to make him look 100 and Duke had a picture with his goal for the year (to help my family with chores and housework).  Nice.
We went kick sledding at Flattop along Powerline Pass.  We had a really great time and it was so beautiful.
There were some super fun downhills and then I did push / pull the kids up the last big hill.  It was a really good glute workout!

I went to Potted Potter with some friends.  It was 80 minutes long and covered all the Harry Potter Books.  It was really funny!  My friend on the left is the golden snitch (she has wings), in the middle is Snape and I was just a Gryffindor Gal.
Crazy weather on Sunday - pouring rain, windy and then a blizzard.  The boys didn't mind as we played loads of board games, they had battles, were chased by Bop and did a lot of reading.
