July

It was cold on our hike.  Well, it was cold for July in Alaska.  My friend's car thermometer read 44' in the parking lot when we set off.  It is always beautiful up at Powerline Pass.  The Lupine were fabulous and I saw a bunch of blueberry bushes with tiny and almost not there blue berries.
The boys started hiking under their own power along the path.  They both soon found fishing poles.
Kincaid ventured off the beaten path (as usual) and found a little batch of snow.
The little ham talking about catching snow fish.   It is a complicated process.
The kid's friend followed them up this path a few times.
They had to stop to eat some lunch to refuel.  Such a great picture of each one of us...
Much better - not a bad place to grab a bite to eat.  In the mountains, a cold breeze keeping the mosquitoes at bay and wonderful company.  Great morning!
